Awareness-raising on GBV and SRH in the Bulengo camp in the city of Goma, carried out in partnership with Repro Justice Congo with support from the partner
Urgent Action Fund Africa.
Through this project, we conducted an awareness-raising campaign and a survey among more than 100 displaced women and girls living in the Bulengo camp on sexual and reproductive health.
Implemented by Woman Power DRC in partnership with SOFEPADI from June to August 2023, this project aims to improve access to sexual and reproductive health services for women and girls; and to establish and operate a center dedicated to youth and women that promotes peace and gender equality in the Mugunga neighborhood, with the goal of preventing radicalization within the community.
Through recreational activities (sports and leisure), this project brought together people from various segments of the community living in this area.
A call for urgent action to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of displaced women and girls living in the Shabindu camp in the city of Goma, implemented by Woman Power DRC with support from its partner, Urgent Action Fund Africa, from September to November 2024.
The goal of this project is to collect the stories and needs of displaced women and girls who have been victims of sexual violence, in order to produce an advocacy document for local authorities and civil society organizations working to promote women’s rights, with the aim of improving their living conditions.
