In an advocacy brief addressed to our partners and presented to key stakeholders, we highlighted the urgent needs of the women and girls who have returned to Kibumba—voices that were long silenced but are now being heard with strength and dignity.

We also shared a poignant booklet recounting their stories: those of survivors of sexual violence who are finding their way back to normal life despite the unspeakable trauma they have endured, and those of young women seeking safe access to medical abortion, often at the risk of their health and their future.

This event, marked by lively discussion and a strong sense of commitment, provided an opportunity to develop concrete strategies to strengthen interventions in this vulnerable region and ensure genuine, safe, and dignified access to sexual and reproductive health care.

This meeting also marked the conclusion of a critical emergency project dedicated to providing a rapid and tailored response to the SRH needs of returning women, with the invaluable support of the Urgent Action Fund Africa.
